TRAINWRECK, ANYONE!?!?

le sigh.

Oh the short posts lately. That's all you're going to get out of me for a while yet. I've got way too much shit going on. Two more weeks of insanity and I'll be back to normal, perhaps.

Anne Rice with Elton and Bernie... you know, I have a pretty creative mind that can amalgam just about any combination of things, but I'm having a really hard time seeing where this one could legitimately go... they're going to have to dig into their more "obscure" stuff as I really don't see vampires singing Philadelphia Freedom or Island Girl - though I can kind of see Burn Down The Mission, and even I'm Still Standing in a weird Free-Halloween-Show-At-Six-Flags kind of way.

Oh man that's a funny thought, having Lestat sing those songs.

I think Elton John wrote all new songs specifically for this show, whether his style of music will work for a full on broadway show, not so sure. I never really got into his other shows like Aida, which was co-written with Tim Rice. Who knows.

I'm just remembering how Tom Hewitt (who got a Tony nom for his portrayal of Frank n Furter in the B'way Rocky) and his show called 'Dracula' was such a huge flop last year. I don't know why they think they can pull this off, especially since Anne Rice has such a strong fan base. Eh.
