concerts

as requested, some shows I'm planning on going to:

3/21 Patty Larkin at the Old Town School of Folk Music

3/25 Tilly and the Wall at Subterranean

4/20 The New Pornographers at Riviera

Lemme know if you want to join me. My birthday is March 26th, so I consider Tilly and the Wall a birthday eve celebration. :)

Also, PBS is playing the new revival production of Company on February 20th.  Thanks to PBS for keeping me sort of in the loop with what's going on in NYC. Good thing we're honeymooning there, I'm itching to visit again soon.

That is so awesome you are honeymooning there. It's my favorite place on earth. I went to the sex museum once. The gift shop was a little less awesome than I expected.

I'm pretty sure it was on 35th and lex. but i could easily be wrong. it was interesting. there were all kinds of art. my favorite was a movie that was a close up of a vulva that was made into a character. like, it had googly eyes glued on it and i think lipstick. i think it smoked too. but it would move when the character spoke. i forget the story it was telling but it was sooo captivating. there was also this serries of furniture some industrial designer made so you could have sex in a ton of odd positions. it was more like different blocks of upholstered foam, all next to eachother on the floor. and it had diagrams. no, no you couldnt use it. If you are nearby, might be worth running in. I wouldn't trek across the city for it though. could be funny to tell people you went there on your honeymoon though. I liked it.

side note, the brooklyn art museum and botanical gardens i believe are connected. gardens are lovely. not sure how they would be at that time of year though.

somewhere around 16thst and 7th ave is the Cafeteria restaurant. It's the one the girls in sex in the city are always supposedly at. good food.

I'm not sure if you know this but just west of prince and broadway, in soho is vosages chocolates. i think there is one in chicago too. but their stuff is amazing. its right by the PRADA store. fyi, prada does not have a sign that says prada.

Oh and the most amazing bakery ever is Ferraras. Even better than O&H and I'm a good (partly danish girl). seriously, i had a little bag of them as i was walking down the street. and i ate one. it was so amazing i wanted to stuff my face in the bag and just chow down on the rest.

Ok i need to stop myself from writing a book here. I'm going back late april.

You guys have been to ny before right?

Well, I'll be getting tickets for Chris and I soon, you should do the same. It's probably open seating anyway.
I love tilly and the wall, they're so much fun live. Should be an awesome evening! :)
