HUfuckingZZAH, people!!

Ani is coming to Chicago in February with special guest: Andrew Bird!!!!

who's with me? Tix are on sale now

(Emily, weren't we just talking about this? I'm glad I checked...)

Also, any input as to which of Ani's old albums I shoud get would be great.
If you pre-order her new album now you get 20% off any of her other works. I already have Evolve, Educated Guess, Little Plastic Castle and Not a Pretty Girl. any thoughts?

I saw the Quality Six at the hot house once with Jelly Eye and they were really good. I haven't seen them since, which stinks, cause they were really good. it was cool seeing andrew bird with the mag fields and yes, that was the last time I saw him. Old Town School is a really nice place to see music. I saw Smog there once, but it wasn't a full band, it was just the main guy in the band and it was seriously one of the most beautifully depressing shows ever. I think that was the only time I ever left a show thinking "that was amazing, I'm gonna go kill myself now."

ha. awesome.

I wish I lived in the area, the Old Town has TONS of really great shows coming up.
Did you know that Andrew teaches music there? I want to be a dork and learn the violin if I can get in his class...

yeah, I knew that at some point. actually, there's so many classes there that I want to take! especially drums. I've always wanted to be a drummer, but it never worked out. I need a drum kit something aweful! anyway, the drummer from the Poster Children teaches there too and I'd love to take lessons from him. I also want to take some song writting classes too... specifically for country and bluegrass. I've been wanting to start a country punk band for a really long time, but I can't quite nail the structure of country music. anyway, yeah, the old town is pretty awesome.
