I haven't had an album fall into my lap and instantly click with it the first time through in a long time. Until yesterday. Ani's new album is so beautiful. I love how she's collaborated with Andrew Bird and Noe Venable and other artists to create these 12 amazing songs. I also picked up her first album (and impatiently await The Mysterious Production of Eggs to drop in my mailbox). I've fallen in love with her new work and am amazed at finally stepping back and seeing her raw roots. Folk music is an aquired taste and now it's ruined me for anything else.

There's this one song that I can't get out of my head from her first album. I keep posting song lyrics in leu of actually writing something. But.
I'm a crappy writer. I love music more than life. You do the math.
