HOW SAD IS THAT? I WAS INSPIRED TO SAY SOMETHING ELEGANT IN FRENCH AND THAT'S ALL I COULD COME UP WITH!
DAMN MR CASE AND HIS BAYWATCH LECTURES!!!!!!
ok. I've been neglecting my journal for a LONG time.
I really don't have anything new to report. Besides my crazy weekend. and my mood swings. Currently, I am pretty damn happy for a change. Which is crazy because I just went through my marathon lecture day and usually spend it sulking in self doubt and all that fun stuff. I'm doing much better on my work ethic. I'm now studying on a regular basis, fighting the urge to veg out and watch will and grace reruns instead......
I'm proud to announce that I earned a solid A, B, and C (on a hard one!) on my most recent tests for kines, ortho and ther ex. so there.
well. just to beef up this entry I'll add my journal babbling from last weekend's events.
enjoy.
((Feb 24, 2002))
As of Friday night I had absolutely no plans whatsoever. M&D were going away for the weekend to visit some friends, so I thought maybe I could have some much needed quality time with sir nate. or maybe be a bum and watch movies all weekend.
Little did I know that I would see people that I haven't seen in a very long time.
I woke up (at 8:30! without an alarm!) to an empty house, so I had ice cream and waffles for breakfast and made a new slow tori mix. Then I tried calling nate, around 10. No answer. So I tried heather, ironically, hoping she would be available for a movie or something. She didn't answer either. I was even desperate enough to offer to pay good money to see that Anne Rice slaughter piece.
She called me back. Nate's mysterious absence was in fact what I anticipated. He was at her apartment again. and since I know for a fact the both of you might be reading this, I will censor myself for your sake. I know you're tired of my uneasiness, but tough shit. I am who I am.
Then I tried calling meg, who I was meaning to call for weeks and weeks. She wasn't answering either.
so. I went to get my jungle brows waxed. I somehow managed to waste two hours searching for one lousy pair of khakis and dress shoes for clinicals/work. no luck. all the stores decided to pull the regular ones and put out the floods and capris. I even went into the fricking GAP. I was that desperate.
Not to mention Kohls. They're moving across the street to a bigger store, so it's a mad house in there.
but no matter. they had rocky horror worthy black and red lacy thongs and bras that fit me on sale!!!!
Moderately pleased with myself, I went home to get a call from meg. We ended up getting Diane and going to Best Buy on a quest to find Josh Harnett DVD's for Meg. (She ended up buying 'O' without even seeing it before. She's that into him. It's a good movie, but still). We immediately ran into Kevin, an old coworker of ours from good ol shitco. I caved in and bought the collectors widescreen edition of Clerks. because I felt like it. :)
I almost bought mallrats too, but I have some self restraint. Plus it was $28...
Then we ended up at Sheena Wells house. I haven't seen her in three months. It was great to see her and Dane again. he's four months old now, holding his head up by himself and eating semisolid food. Dale was feeding him when we got there, actually. That was a trip seeing him again. We were all getting settled in and playing with Dane when suddenly the phone rings, and it's Diana. Sheena told her who was over and before we could say anything, she invited her over. Minutes later, in walks Diana. and Andrea.
all things considered it went well. We were all very civil. weird, but ok.
meg and I took diane home so she could sleep before ad prep at 5am. we went back to my house and watched O. The cute thing was that it has an extra disc with the 1920's silent movie version of othello to watch and compare. It was highly entertaining.
The next day I was ready to get all my work done, but watched clerks and ate animal crackers instead. I did some laundry to pretend I was being productive.
Then meg and I went to offer sheena a lunch out of the house, but she couldn't leave dane. so we visited her for a while and went to get bread bowl soup.
And, the piece de resistance- we went to shitco to get some much needed contact stuff for me, when we ran into none other than Brent Micheal Georgi. I haven't seen him in over a year. He was actually semi-pleasant. he even carried my bottles of antifreeze and washer fluid to my car for me. he's still working there full time with no plans of school. I think it's much better to wait until you know what you want to do before commiting to a college. He seems happy with what he's doing. Everyone is.
I think that's awesome.
