Another successful Rocky Show last night. This was the special Halloween Show, always a full house of the craziest costumes you've ever seen. Paige looked awesome in her angel outfit. I've never seen white glittery fishnets before. Leave it to Paige. :)
I of course jump on any opportunity to dress up in costume, so I finally splurged on a nice corset that I've been wanting for ages. yay. Paige and I had a kind of black/white angel/devil thing going on. It was fun. You could almost hear the porn music playing as we strutted around milwaukee.
There was a little bit of chaos with picking everyone up, driving 50mph on 94 because the other car couldn't go very fast, parking issues, naaaaaaasty pube laden toilet seats....(don't ask). Once the show started, everything was fine. One of Paige's friends had the balls (heh. gotta love the puns) to get up on stage for the costume contest as Brad. Tighty whities and all. He was robbed and only got third place.
The preshow was freakin awesome this year. They performed the Rocky show in 15 minutes, only this time set to 80's music. Like when Riff Raff kills Frank and Rocky, Another One Bites the Dust was playing. Very very funny.
The sensual daydreams cast just keeps getting better and better every time I see them. Their costumes are being added to and are looking almost identical to the movie. And they're having fun with it and that makes you have fun. Although our seats were in the middle of the row, so for the first time ever, we couldn't get up and do the time warp in the aisles. Good times.
It was a nice distraction from being jealous from knowing that Liz's family is over there with her right now...

Dad and I went canoeing this morning. We wanted to get one last trip in for the year. It was so beautiful with the fall colors. Very peaceful. It's suprising how few pieces of garbage we had to pick up along the way. Maybe people are finally taking care of themselves and not being slobs, or maybe the nearby nature center's canoers have been working on keeping the Root River clean. Whichever it is, I am grateful. The weird thing was the presence of smashed pumpkins floating in the river. I lost count after about 20 or so. There was a guy sitting on a bench next to the launch area with a dog that tried to mark his territory on our canoe. Dad nudged him with a paddle and said 'oh no you don't!' and the owner just sat there laughing.

Later today I went over to Sheena's house to help megan make a resume. There's an opening at Aurora in my department, and during our grand opening of the new department last week I caught my boss at a quiet moment and asked her if she'd hire another person my
age (usually they never ever hire anyone under 22). After much persuasion, I convinced her to give Megan an interview. All she has to do is turn in a resume. Only she's never made one before, hence why I'm helping. and did I mention that I introduced Heather to all the big dogs at Barnes and Noble and more than likely she will be working there? That would be perfect. I'd still get my discount and not have to actually work. Anyone else need a job? I'm on a roll!
I should go. I need to write a cover letter for Meg too...
What did I get myself into?
