you've been looking all around for years for someone to tell your troubles to

Crazy week is over. I think I'm finally getting used to working ten hour days.
Had a nice long conversation with miss Liz and can now start planning a trip to visit her in November. I got a call an hour after hanging up with her on Wed. night from Dan. I haven't seen him in the flesh since last September. He ended up taking me to the Rave Thursday night to see Evanescence (brought to you by Nintendo. geez). I had no idea they had gotten such a following already. Dan has seen them twice now and proceeded to sing along to every song during the show. I've never been to the Rave, it was one big room with standing room around the stage. We ended up sneaking closer after the opening band and getting about 10 feet away from the stage. I had a great time watching the people around me. The new dance moves, people body surfing, moshing, etc. It was really fun. There was probably close to 1,000 people there. It was packed. When I tried to dance a little, I was grinding with about six people simultaneously. And it was great to see Dan again. He will never let it die that I thought a Metallica song that was playing during the setup between bands was Meatloaf. Give me a break, I only know meatloaf from rocky. (and I absolutely hate Metallica because of a certain ex boyfriend fom a few years ago beating their music into the ground. so there.)
So. The concert was over around midnight. Dan had to pull me out of the mob because he was having chest pains...(he casually mentioned that he had a mild heart attack during a nine inch nails concert 6 years ago.) After a few minutes he said he was okay. We followed the steady stream of bodies pouring out of the ballroom....out of ALL those people....who should we run into but Randy. I just stood there with my jaw on the floor, watching him pass by without noticing me, but Dan proceeded to scream his name over and over. He got about 20 feet away without hearing him when Dan finally screamed his renfaire character name and turned around. He walked back towards us, fiancee in tow and we exchanged hellos. I couldn't take it so I tried to make it look like the bodies walking around me were pulling me out the door with them. We would have made it out if Dan didnt have to get a friggin T-shirt and make me run into him...again. We didn't have two words to say to each other. What are the odds, people?? gaaaah. (personally I didn't get a good look at his fiancee, but Dan claims that she had quite a tummy on her. God I hope that's not true, for her sake).
But enough of that crap. I have to get packing so Tim and I can get going to Madison in an hour or so. I can't wait to see April in Rocky tonight. Rumor has it she's playing Janet tonight. heeeeeeeeeeeee. OH! and next weekend the Chicago Rocky Horror cast are doing audience participation Hedwig. yeaah.
