Feb. 28th, 2005 09:57 pmThings I will not miss about my apartment:
1. the geese. Our place was one of many buildings circling around a man made pond with pretty fountains. We had a balcony and a large window that overlooked it. Sounds nice in theory but when hundreds of geese honking at each other simultaneously at all hours of the night, it gets old reeeeeal fast.
2. the smells. Every time the heat or air conditioning kicked on, we could smell whatever nasty food people were cooking around us and lots of cigarette smoke. All of my clothes and blankets smell like cigarettes now. I hope they can air out after all this time...
3. cranky ass neighbors. Heather and I could never use our standing bag to do some wicked roundhouse kicks or anything because the people below us would call the manager on us. harumph.
4. long ass drive to work or to home
5. daily reminders of failed relationship with boy next door.
6. pathetic excuse for snow plowing and or salting the sidewalk. and you should see the potholes everywhere.
I'm going to miss that place. My 'things I'll miss' list is much longer.
