Oh man, Easter RULES this year! We busted my Bampa out of the Rehab Center for the afternoon and had the whole family together again. Nana started crying, then I started crying. It was so wonderful to see him home again. He's been in that place for 3 weeks now, and his hip is healing nicely. I was really impressed with his strength and helping with transfers. He was uncomfortable sitting up all the time, since it puts more pressure on the hip. He had a good time though. For our Easter dinner, other than the usual ham, Dad made me some sweet potatoe fries. Sorry guys, but it was way better than Clarke's. Thicker, not as crispy and covered in cinnamon sugar. And as if that wasn't enough, we had a dairy queen heath bar cake. We had a nice laid back day. Watched Wisconsin lose. I've been sewing a lot, trying to turn 8 brightly colored and patterned ties into a purse. Hand sewing is hard! I gotta do it though. My fleece purse is lookin pretty scraggly. I don't know how I'm going to make the opening for the stuff to go in, but I'm sure I'll figure it out somehow. I saw a girl with a purse made of ties at O'Hare when we were waiting to fly out to Ireland and I've wanted one ever since. As for Easter, our family put together a big communal basket of crap we shouldn't be eating. I got a Spongebob paint-your-own cookie with food coloring markers. It is really cute but I'm scared to eat it...

My birthday (yesterday) was also wonderful. Dad made blueberry pancakes. A whole lotta fabulous people came out to see me and called me to wish me well. I felt very loved. :)
We had a table of 9 people painting at Fired Up. NINE!!
I made a cereal bowl. I shall use it a lot.
We spent the day doing my favorite things: eating Mexican food, having cake, playing pool, bowling.
Good times. For a fun random pictoral account of the day, see Becky's journal.

back to my sewing project I go...

Welcome to the jungle, my friend. A whole new level of drama awaits you...

I wish I had my computer up and running with internet so I can use Semagic.
I miss making fancy posts with links and italics and whatnot.
Ah well, mayhap soon.
