May. 14th, 2005 12:16 pmWhat a beautiful day! I was worried I wasn't going to be able to wear my dress to the show tonight due to cold/rainy weather. Lucky us!! Such a great day for all you graduates out there too.
This morning I got up early to get my teeth violated with a metal spike. Luckily my new dentist was really nice and took it easy on me. I'm not in as much pain as I usually am after a cleaning.
Then it was off to Kenosha to take my english placement test at Parkside. I really need to ring Nate or Paige and beg for a tour of campus sometime soon, I am really at a loss being there. I wandered for a good 20 minutes trying to find the room I needed to be in. The test wasn't that bad. The funny thing is I'm considered a freshman, so they want me to go to a day long orientation. I went to the website and it says if I'm a transfer student with 15 credits or more, I don't have to. Maybe I can somehow get myself into that category. I don't have a day to throw away like that. So if all went well with the test I can take English 101 starting June 13th, Mondays and Wednesdays for 5 weeks. It's lame, but it's a start. I'll get into it more in the fall. The big question is whether or not I should try for full time classes, get it all done in a year and start my PT classes in California next June, or space it out part time for 2 years, work more (and save more) and start June 2007. Not sure what to do. I'm really pissed off at Aurora for a pathetic raise in salary this year and all the BS going on over there. I'm being shipped off to Lake Geneva for 3 weeks because we're in such a low census. My boss is trying to help me out by giving me hours but I can't help but feel like I'm being punished or something. Bad Melissa! No patients! Go to Lake Geneva! I'd love to get started as soon as possible and get it over with. I don't want to lose steam and quit. I doubt I would but it's a possibility. Staying here where it's safe and familiar could look pretty nice after pulling my hair out for a year.
But enough about that. I'm in such a great mood today. I'm going to wash my hair, paint my toes and head on down to Chicago to see the touring cast of Wicked. In honor of the occasion I shall be wearing green.
(note to my liz: care package of joy is on it's way to your office. should be there Tuesday)
