Jun. 14th, 2005 01:05 pmSo much to say, so little time. I must get back to work soon.
BUT, before I go, some things I'm really happy about:

Holy crap. Pink Floyd is getting back together. I'm gonna keel over now.
I haven't really heard about this thing before last night, so I don't have a lot of info but here's a quote from BBC news: "The aim will be to raise awareness of Make Poverty History, a campaign to get the richest nations to cancel debt and increase aid to developing countries, and to promote fair trade."
What a concept. All that AND Pink Floyd will be getting together? Sweet.
I would love to drop everything and fly to London for that show.
they've got the best lineup:
Hyde Park, London
Coldplay
The Cure
Dido
Sir Elton John
Bob Geldof
Keane
The Killers
Annie Lennox
Madonna
Mariah Carey
Sir Paul McCartney
Ms Dynamite
Muse
Pink Floyd
Razorlight
REM
Robbie Williams
Scissor Sisters
Snoop Dogg
Snow Patrol
Stereophonics
Sting
Joss Stone
U2
Velvet Revolver
Youssou N'Dour
Heh. And here, you ask? um, don't ask...
Museum of Art, Philadelphia
Will Smith (host)
Bon Jovi
Maroon 5
P Diddy
Stevie Wonder
Jay-Z
The Dave Matthews Band
Sarah McLachlan
Rob Thomas
Keith Urban
50 Cent
Kaiser Chiefs
eeew. No thank you...
ALSO, when I was chillin in Early to Bed before the party started, I was thumbing through the Onion and found these two shows:
The Full Monty: Drury Lane Theater at Water Tower Place, 175 E. Chestnut St. (Thru July 10th)
Not sure if it's the broadway musical version or if they just made a stage adaptation of the movie? The blip says 'It's just like the movie, only set in America: six unemployed, out-of-shape steelworkers from Buffalo try to raise some quick cash by taking off their clothes." That's gotta be it, right?? Either way it'll be fun.
Tix are 28-40 bucks.
AND (really exited about this one) Stardust: Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. (only 23 bucks!!) This world premiere adaptation of Neil Gaiman's novel follows Tristran into the magical Faerie land, where he must retrieve a fallen star for his beloved. Thru June 26th.
anyone up for some really great shows?? Let me know!
Thanks, Onion! :)
