Jan. 5th, 2006 12:53 pmOh, Ireland. How I miss you. Was it only 1 year ago we met? Man, if only I had the funds and vacation time for another visit. $130 each way!! NO FAIR!!! I'd ask Heather to come with me but seeing as she's in freakin JAMAICA right now, I don't think she'll be ready to whip out her passport and blow this popstand, either. I hope she's having a good time. She deserves a vacation. The poor thing missed her 4 am flight but rescheduled and paid and extra 100 bucks and she was on her way. I'm her cat-sitter this week and so far it's been fun. They love me now that I'm the one feeding them. I just wish I wasn't so damn allergic to their dander. If I touch my eyes it's all over.
I am currently off work for the morning because of low caseload. No biggie, I've got things to do, people to see, journaling to catch up on. Sleeping in this morning was especially nice. I'm sort of fighting a head cold, so extra sleep should help. No time to be sick. It's not so bad, just as long as I don't bend down to pick up something and stand back up really fast.
The holidays really flew by me. They were really really great this year. Lots of quality time with my family and friends. My ultimate wish came true: having Christmas at home. As far as my Dad's job status goes, we're still in limbo. The government extended the deadline for Delphi and the union to come to an agreement, which means it's not going to court yet. Still don't know what's going to happen and it SUCKS. But, I am beyond grateful that nothing happened yet, especially so we could have at least one more Christmas in the house I grew up in with my family.
Now, it is 2006 (even though I'll be writing '05 and scratching it out for a couple weeks yet) and I'm ready for the year to come.
As of last night I am back into Kickboxing. Luckily miss Emily was wanting to give it a try so having a buddy with me makes it easier and a lot more fun. It's been about 8 months since my last class, you wouldn't know it though. The second I put my wraps on I was ready to kick some ass. I love it. Thank goodness I've been working up my cardio endurance since October or I might have been more winded (and more sore today). I feel great!! We're going to go at least 3 times a week. I'm happy they gave me a student discount too. That helps.
My spring schedule was a pain in the ass to set up. The class I wanted was full, so I'll have to take my stupid math class 4 times a week for an hour each instead of twice a week for 2 hours.
my schedule is as thus:
Monday : Algebra 8-8:50 , work 10:00-6:30
Tuesday: Algebra 8-8:50, Modern and Contemporary Literature 9:30-10:45, History (US Reconstruction - Recent Times) 11-12:15, work 1:30 to 6:30
Wed: Algebra 8-8:50, work 10- 6:30
Thursday: same as Tuesday
Friday: work 8-5
eek. 16 weeks of that should be fun. I just might turn into a morning person (so much for cutting back of coffee/caffiene!) At least I'll be half done with my humanities requirements by then.
I plan to visit Loma Linda's campus in April during their open house. I wish I had someone to go with me though.
Oh, and ROCKY tomorrow and Saturday! Wish me luck, I'm taking the train down from Wisconsin tomorrow night, so no one is allowed to jump onto the tracks.
Now, if I could just find something to go with the sparkly black fishnets my sister gave me for Christmas...

Coming in February: OUR ANNUAL
ANTI-VALENTINE SHOWS!
come if you love me!! :)
