callous or careless?
Oct. 2nd, 2006 12:09 pmI am feeling much revived after having 2 wonderful days off and sleeping like the dead last night. I started to wake up a few minutes before my alarm went off this morning and when it did it was the overture from The Light in the Piazza. A nice way to start the day.
I think I was such a mess last week because I hadn't had a day off in over 2 weeks...fatigue makes me more emotional than my already over-emotional self. So, my apologies for those who had to put up with me. I'll try to behave from now on.
Friday and Saturday night Hedwig shows went really well and for the most part I had a good time. My castmates blew my socks off. I can't believe we've done 4 different shows and still rock the house every time. This is such a fun and unique way to perform. I love it.
I confess to getting really pissy after hearing that I won't be performing at Stronghold this year and being reminded of Liz with all our Hedwig related memories. Plus I was tired as hell and didn't socialize. I spent most of the shows sitting in the back of the theatre when I wasn't performing.
This week is looking pretty rosy: For the next 6 Tuesdays I'll be at bellydancing class from 7-8 PM. Parkside offers tons of mini courses from cooking to photography and whathaveyou at a very low cost for students. Sweet. Wednesday night my theatre class will be going to Chicago to see the Pillowman at the Steppenwolf. No work on Friday, just class till 2 and plenty of time to study at the tutoring center, which will be time well spent. I'm not doing well in my algebra class so far. I got a 65% on my first exam, which was supposed to be "easy" according to the instructor. I can't half ass my way through homework during downtime at work anymore.
