amish style physical therapy!
Aug. 25th, 2007 09:41 amYesterday's 10.5 hour shift was spent in a power and phone-less clinic, in the dark. It was so flippin BORING. We had to run out and get candles so there was a light source in the bathrooms. Peeing by candlelight = romantic?
The only redeeming factor was watching the snoody overly fashionable or business suit-y types practically run out of their cars to get to the Borders that my clinic shares a wall with, only to see them sulking back moments later pissed off at the unfairness of the universe at keeping them from their precious store that was also without power all day. Oh, that and the fact that one of our last patients of the day managed to drive her new shiny and tiny car over not one but *two* cement parking curb things, wedging them perfectly between her front and rear tires. Three guys and I managed to push that poor front wheel drive car over the curbs and get her out of there without any major damage.
I'm on my way out in a bit for day #2 at Bristol thus far this year. Last Sunday was a bust since it was closed for most likely the first time in faire history due to bad flooding and the poor parking lot sinking in.
Then tonight I have the choice of THREE fun shows:
Rufus Wainwright at the Ravinia Park
Nora O'Connor at the Hideout
Ditty Bops at The Old Town School of Folk Music
Nora wins. Sorry Rufus.
