(no subject)

Man, have I been partaking of the holiday this year. So far I have been to a Christmas choir concert (Dale had a recorder solo!), went hunting for a tree with my family, decorated said tree and the 'rents house, saw 'A Christmas Carol' at the Pabst Theater with Devon and Dale (SO funny seeing Stacy Hicks in a floofy wig).
I also bought toys to give to a family our work sponsored (I gave the 5 year old boy a Ninja Turtle. I spent a good 10 minutes in the store deciding which was the coolest. I went with Michelangelo. Always was my personal favorite...screw April and her stupid video camera. Give me numchucks!!)

This weekend I shall make cookies with Nana and Mom, then drive down to see the lights and storefronts in downtown Chicago with Becky and Eric. AND catch some Rocky and Too Much Light. Good times are a-comin.

A week from Sunday we'll be seeing Spamalot with April, Paige and Tim. I'm really looking forward to that.
(Sorry if ya'll are sick of me doing this but this is the easiest way to discuss organizing crap. bear with me!)
Speaking of which, Becky was kind enough to do some research and find out that the train isn't going to work for us. SO. what to do? I haven't driven into downtown Chitown in years...but I suppose I can make it. If ya'll can squeeze into my car and are willing to help out with parking lot fees and gas money. When do you guys want to leave? Are we going to putz around the area for the afternoon, catch dinner and then go to the theater? hmm??

My ultimate Christmas wish this year: Liz breaking away from her evil boss and coming home

The train will work. We will just have to get on in Waukegan, which is about 20-30 minutes away from Kenosha. There's a 10:30pm train from Chicago to Waukegan and a 12:30am train too, if we miss the earlier one. Here are the schedules (click on Sunday/Holiday, obviously).

so are you gonna drop on by? If you have time for your humble friends?

Hugs,
Harley

April the reporter from Ninja Turtles! the resident damsel in distress...

Also, I'm not necessarily saying that I WANT to go by train, just that we COULD. Probably if we all chip in for gas/parking it'll work out to about the same as the train fare ($5 on weekends).

And yes, "putzing," dinner, and the show sounds great!

ok then. putzing it is. :)

the train isn't that bad. It takes longer but I'll be less stressed out...expecially when I get lost and my cell won't turn on...
