Did you know that centrifuged blood has three layers: plasma, red blood cells and a BUFFY COAT? The Buffy coat contains all the white blood cells and platelets that defend our bodies from infection! I wonder if that's a coincidence or intentional for the naming of our beloved heroine.

Either way it's pretty cool.
