I only have a sec, but I wanted to tell everyone to go see a really cool indie movie Heather and I saw last weekend. It's called 'Scotland, PA' and wasn't really advertised (or beaten into the ground like star wars). It's a modern spin on MacBeth, set in the seventies at a burger joint. The funny thing is that the Oriental theater's website, (which I love because it is very informative about all of the films running) said in the bio that it was using Hamlet as its story. So I was sitting there wondering....hmmmmm...maybe they're taking the perspective of the queen a little more than shakespeare did...she wanted her husband dead too.....where's Ophelia??? Why is she flipping out over her hand?? Despite the fast food joint being renamed McBeth's.....(which was cute without being overly obnoxious)I STILL couldn't figure it out until the last half hour or so. Don't kick me. I just thought maybe they were overly creative and pulled MacBeth into the story. So. It's great. The stoner guy from grounded for life is in it. I swear he's Christopher Walken's son, which was really cool because Christopher was in the movie too. When they talked to each other it sounded like the same person. Long story short, good movie. Go see it. Next weekend I hope to go see 'Cat's Meow' to see Eddie Izzard as Charlie Chaplin. That's going to be interesting.....
How perfect is he for that role? he already mastered the black eyeliner look!
