greetings to all.
Jun. 5th, 2002 11:27 amI just realized that I haven't written in here in quite some time. Perhaps because I'm running around like a headless poultry item all the time...
THE GOOD NEWS IS: I think I'm happy. This is a strange feeling for me. Not used to it, I guess. My apologies to poor miss april listening to me discuss this last night. It sounds utterly stupid, but it's the truth. I'm not used to it. Now that I (think I) have it, I don't know what to think about it. Oh nevermind. It doesn't make sense in my head, either.
So. I finished off the school year in flying colors, although I REFUSE to go so far as to POST them on lj, thank you. Let's see.....I had a week off and then started a super spring psych class. It's not that bad. My prof is really cool and wants us all to succeed in the class. How sad is that? We should expect that from an educator!!! It's a four hour class on tues and thurs for three weeks. I have three days to go. yee hah. Last week was loverly due to the special appearance of miss elizabeth. :)
So wonderful to see you again, dahling. As I said in the birthday card I just mailed today (hope it gets there on time) I needed a Liz fix very badly. Now I can hang on till I manage to sneak away from job and school and renfaire and get my behind over there. When that will be, who knows. Perhaps august, perhaps december. I know not at this point.
WOO! I love 'Man It's Loud in Here' and 'New York City'. REAL MUSIC!!!!!! YAYYYYY!!!! Thanks so much liz. You saved me once again from current craptacular "music". SO. TONY'S! Anyone see it other than Liz? Not quite sure what to think about John Lithgow, but Into the Woods should be respected for its kick assedness. Because I said so. No offense to Oklahoma, but I don't care for the cheesefest musical. Andrea Martin rocks despite the cheese flowing around her. I couldn't find the full monty guy... (he's growing on me, dear. really. )
Last weekend I finally went to Mark's wedding. Kinda disappointing, but fun. The single guy to me ratio bit the big one. I ended up kicking up my heels with coworkers. Which was really fun. Because Matthew danced. He's usually really really quiet and conservative. He walked out on the dance floor and started break dancing and singing along to the big butt rap song. Soooooo funny.
and then there's ren faire. I started rehearsal two weeks ago. Saturdays are reserved for the newbies only, a full 10-6 day of history, character development, street improv, dancing, singing, dialect, etc. Sundays I meet with just my guilde to work on all of our dances and the play we added this year. Everyone is so nice there! Crazy crazy peoples, but I love them anyway. I'm very proud of myself for jumping in and going for it. My usual self would get all shy and not want to do anything. Once I'm on the beautimous faire grounds, surrounded with green trees and wildflowers and fun people, I can't hold back! I'm still a work in progress, character wise. I'll update you all when I know more. So far all I know is that my name is Goodwife Phoebe Anserine. (I'm not married, that's just what you call unmarried lower class women. I can't be called 'mistress' until I'm married! how much does that suck!?)
AND last week I got my orthotics. They are really well fitting. My knee pain went away after a few days!
Well my friends, tis time to go to work. I hope everyone is doing well. Anyone in the area interested in going to the Rocky Horror show with April, Paige, Heather and I are more than welcome. This saturday nite, at midnight. We're going all out and wearing fishnets and the whole shebang, just to warn you. Well, not warn you. Encourage you. It's far more fun to go in the craziest raciest clothes you have.
Let me know. Laura and Ben, this means you! We have to get Ben in high heels! Super Grande GRADE Ben! :)
