a new beginning
May. 21st, 2003 11:02 pmoooooooooooooooooooh the craziness. non stop madness! MADNESS!!!!
::sigh:: oh the drama queen in me will never cease.
Can't stay online long, just a little update. Last weekend I had my first restaurant sushi experience. and raspberry saki. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
So far this week, I had my LAST EVER class followed by a nice dinner with my classmates and 2 PT teachers, got drilled at the dentist again and *GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE!* It was three hours of trying to park, negotiate around the mobs of cap and gown clad lemmings crammed in the hallways of parkside's gym. My poor poor family had to stand the whole time and watch me cross the stage and accept my diploma from the far back corner. but, despite listening to over 800 names being called out for an hour and a half, it was a very nice ceremony. It didn't hit me that it was really happening until I entered the room. Hearing Pomp and Circumstance and following a line of graduates made me start crying. I didn't think I was going to and then there I was, blinking away tears and a huge smile on my face. Going to a technical college was supposed to be an easy two years. God was I wrong.
but well worth it. I've grown and learned so much, I doubt I would be where I am now if I chose the same path as my friends. Physical Therapy is my niche and it feels so good to be a therapist at last. Today was my first day as a PTA. I love it and I can't stop smiling.
