learning2fly: (tori hands tied)
I survived my MRI on Wednesday.
I've been dealing with this annoying neck/upper back pain for over a year now and I've given in. I want to know what's wrong with me.
You wouldn't think laying in a white plastic tube for an hour would be difficult...but it was. The first half wasn't bad. My usual pain was there but not as intense as usual, so I could deal. Then she came over and rotated my head into a neutral position because I was turned in a weird position. After she moved me I felt like there was a razorblade under my head and I was laying on it. And I couldn't move. There was maybe two inches clearance in any direction and I couldn't freakin move. I wanted to get out of there more than anything, but I needed to make it through so they get a clear picture of everything. But I lost it. I started sobbing as still as I could but I ruined part of it by moving and she had to scan it again. After it was all over I was unbelievably dizzy when I sat up. I managed to get out into the waiting room without keeling over. I sat down in a chair, overwhelmed with the pain and worrying about what they will find out from the tests. I started crying like mad. Thank god it was 7:00 at night so there weren't many people around. A receptionist came over and gave me kleenex and offered to call someone for me, but I declined. I had to get it out of my system.
I still don't know the results yet. Maybe Monday I'll know.
