yay spring!!
Apr. 18th, 2004 01:50 pmI am in such a good mood. I love that it is 70 degrees and sunny. I love the ducks that swim around the pond outside my window to greet me every morning. I love waking up at my parent's house to the smell of coffee and blueberry pancakes. I did just that yesterday. I must confess, it is great to not live there anymore and be on my own, but I really miss Dad's cooking. There's no place like home. I had a wonderful day with Dad, taking the canoe out for a spin. It was a perfect day. I am currently as red as a lobster from not putting on any sun block, but it was well worth it. We saw tons and tons of wildlife. Everything is finally waking up from a long hard winter and it's beautiful to watch.
Later on I opted NOT to attend the play I was supposed to be in. Instead, I had my second date with Josh. We went bowling and I didn't kick his ass this time (we played pool on our first date and I wooped his ass. HA!!). I played really well considering I haven't held a bowling ball in over two years. Then we went to a bar, got sloshed and sang karaoke till the wee hours of the morning. He was much more open and fun this time. As was I. My last song of the night was 'Maybe This Time' and good GOD it was awesome.
As for today, I am cleaning this godforsaken room of mine and will go grocery shopping soon. Exiting, I know.
I am really looking forward to the upcoming months. I get to fly out to NYC and see my girls graduate and go to a Magnetic Fields/ Andrew Bird concert.
I get a weekend to dance at Cotswold Renaissance Faire. I am just itching to put my garb on again. :)
SO many awesome concerts coming up too. (Handsome Family and Andrew Bird in Chicago, and Patty Larkin in Milwaukee)
Not to mention, a mere 83 days to Bristol's opening.
Things are looking up...
