1. I have the most comfortable bed on the planet. If you lay down on it you'll fall asleep very quickly.
It's a magical bed. I wish I could take it with me wherever I go.
2. I can juggle. I learned the 3 ball cascade and can do hand offs simultaneously.
Working at Ren Faire for years and years brings all kinds of new and useless skills.
3. I've had issues with my body since the tender age of 7. I distinctly remember a friend of the family making me do the 'chicken fat' record- a weird army style pushups/situps routine set to a song. My mom and the media were also huge influences when I was little. Whenever I ate something bad or ate too much I would be told "a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips" and felt guilty and weak.
I was trained to hate my body from a very young age and it's still very difficult for me today to break that. I'm still working on it.
4. One of life's little pleasures for me is in the summertime walking barefoot down the street at night, squishing my bare toes into the warm gooey tar filling the seams of the pavement.
5. I'm a ballerina, in the privacy of my room. I dance in there a lot, regardless of what kind of music I have on.
Now I do some belly dance too, thanks to my recent class. Finger cymbals are so much fun!
6. I get really irritated if people around me or on television are using assistive devices incorrectly. Dr. House should use his cane in his other hand, goddammit. Clearly the Physical Therapists at his hospital are morons for letting him walk like that. I find it hilarious that he's such a brilliant doctor when diagnosing impossible patients yet can't figure out how to use his cane correctly OR to diagnose what's wrong with it and fix it with all the top of the line medical equipment and staff at his disposal.
I'm such a geek. Once I actually went up to someone once and helped them out. I regretted it later.
Our society is too uptight. People should be able to acknowledge others and help them without feeling like an asshole.
I tag whoever wants to do this.
