Wanna know what's fun?

Glitter hairspray: the secret to zen.
well, maybe not zen but it sure made me happy.
I had a great time trotting around Chicago Saturday night with Becky and Eric (with crazy glitter hair). They took me to see an awesome theater troupe called 'Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind', a company of performers doing 30 plays in 60 minutes. Very awesome indeed. We even scored front row seats (standing out in the psuedo-rain for an hour was worth it!) Also, sweet potato fries rock my world.

It's weird. I've been all over three major cities in the span of a week: last weekend I was in NEW YORK CITAY, then downtown Milwaukee and now Chicago. crazy.
Last Friday, Heather took me to meet up with her classmates and go to Milwaukee's 5th annual Wearable Sculpture Fashion Show. (that's a link to the shots from that and heather's recent hair transformation from last night ((she donated her hair to locks of love)). The entire evening was held in the Turner Hall Ballroom, this gorgeous historic room with a balcony and a huge spiral staircase. First there was an underground film festival of indie shorts, then some DJ's did a little spinning while we hit up the bar for some rum and cokes, then on with the main event: the Wearable Sculpture Fashion Show. Super cool folks. There was theme music for each piece while they walked the catwalk. Every model took the outfit and made a character out of it (and I've got some great ideas for my character at faire next year!!). Some of them did performance art. others danced. My personal favorite was Sweatshop Couture.

Let's see....I also went to New York on the 7th to visit my Liz.
BEST TRIP EVER!!!!
The flights went smoothly.
My luggage was not destroyed in the process of getting there or getting home.
It did not rain for the duration of the trip, which has never happened before.
I had an adorable little boy talking to me during the landing to distract me from not yarfing. (I hate landing. my stomach has a hard time landing with me...)
I took a few pictures, mostly Central Park because dagummit, it was gorgeous. (ENJOY! New York City pics)
I got to see Mr. Bird in concert and meet Liz's infamous other half, Chris
Saw Hunter Foster in the brand spankin new Little Shop of Horrors on B'way (I still can't believe such an awesomely spunky show has never been on Broadway before.)
Wandered Central Park with Liz
Went to a Finding Nemo Party (and he will be mine and he will be my squishy)
Got a $30 corset at H&M
Played dress up in Time Square's Sephora
Met the fab singer (and also very pretty) Josh Groban as he celebrated the release of his new album and signed autographs for over 700 fans at Virgin Megastore last Tuesday. Buttah, that boy's voice is like buttah. mmm.
and had lots of chillin time with miss Liz.

It was nice to just get away. and just to be there. There's something magical about that place. I just can't explain it. I don't think I could live there all the time but it's wonderful to be there when I can.

As for now, back to work. I had a lot of fun working with two young pups today. Kids are so awesome. They can melt your heart just by looking at them.
I must get to bed soon. Heather's going to get me up early tomorrow for more Windsor Pilates. joy.
(I MUST get some of this weight off. It's getting ridiculous. I'm tired all the time. Or maybe it's the ten hour shifts. who knows. All I know is I need to lose 50 pounds. now please. Where did that magic wand go? maybe it can fix my back pain!!!)

OOH! Also, new TORI tomorrow!! and Pirates coming sooooon. woo!
