Tori's "new" album, Tales of a Librarian, has divided the Ears with Feet, BIGTIME. Check out all the angry Tori fans on LJ. I tend to agree with most of them...go to Tori's website and listen to her revamped Professional Widow and Sweet Dreams. Pro Widow sounds like the shit they play at Old Navy that makes me run out of the store screaming within 10 minutes or less. And that should never never never be the product of something Tori Amos creates, dammit. She is one of the few remaining artists out there that has not sold out (i.e. U2...Sting....etc) and it makes me very sad to see her caving in now. Yes, she is a new mommy and needs to secure herself and her family but not for this.
I am one dissapointed girl. One very broke girl that will probably buy it anyway for the cleaned up clearer vocals and instrument sounds of the non destroyed songs, but sad nonetheless.

And what the *beep* is up with Michael Jackson? what could they have found in his house that made him get arrested so fast and why the week of his "new" album? why do I care??

I have not heard any of the new thang, but I was skeptical as soon as I heard what it was. I have traditionally not liked Tori's adventures in remixing, and she's done it for a long time as b-sides and whatnot. They just, uh, scare sensitive little fans, so most don't stay on the radar long, I guess? But yeah. She won my heart back with Scarlet, and it would be such a better idea if she would take a couple years and really craft some new things. (I'd wager her family is plenty secure.) She's clearly trying to move forward creatively, and I think people would respect it more if she was writing instead of playing with buttons in a studio. Y'know.

I still want to marry the cover art, anyway.

(PS heehee Jacko. WHY is the world so WEIRD?)

AUUUUUGH THIS WEEK THIS WEEK THIS WEEK I HOPE YOU ARE WELL AUUGHH.

Oh, did they use the crappy 'remix' version of Professional Widow? I bought the CD through BestBuy.com so it's on its way to my house in America. I won't get to hear it till I get home.
