Bampa is doing a bit better. Turns out the new fracture still lies within the reach of the pins so the surgeon opted not to cut him open again. Last night Dad had to go to him around 1:00 a.m. to calm him down. He flipped out and pulled out his IV. Now he's in a posey vest holding down his trunk to keep him from trying to get up by himself and now has wrist restraints. They started him on some light sedatives and they pretty much knocked him out most of the day. I had two patients cancel on me right before my lunch, so I punched out and visited him for a couple hours. I got to see Nana, who hasn't slept or eaten much since Saturday. I got her to eat some lunch and talked to Bampa for a little while. He was a lot more with it today, he knew where he was and that something happened. So. For now he's on bedrest, no weight bearing thru his hip at all. His doc will re-evaluate him tomorrow and we'll go from there. I had an out of body experience, watching three generations of my family helplessly watching the man we love in horrible pain. We'll just take it one day at a time and support each other as best we can. That's all we can do.

Well, I'm in need of some serious packing time. I have way too much crap to move.
The good news is I have a good amount of help for Saturday, which should make everything so much better.

It has been a really emotional week thus far, and it's only Tuesday!!

My phone line and DSL are being disconnected tomorrow, so I won't get back into LJ for a while.

Good luck with the move! I'd help ya out if I wasn't trying to cram some sleep in for the boys' shows. I'll be there in spirit directing traffic and such.

I will miss your place. It was so pretty. However, I won't miss the Geese and all their droppings.
