We had such a slow afternoon at work today I did 3 sets of 10 reps on all the weight equipment AND went shoe shopping online. Now I want to drop a ridiculous amount of money on my dream boots. Like now.
Don't hate. They are really high quality and the right fit I've been searching for. I've wanted granny boots like these for a long ass time...

MUST. HAVE. BOOTS.

I would wear them to Rocky (duh) and everywhere else. I will sleep in them. I will make sweet love to them.

My tax refund check is waiting to be used for something fun. This could be it, and still have plenty left over for my next trip to see Liz in New York. Totally.

OH MY GOD. THOSE BOOTS ARE SO GOOD. And so expensive. I could never. No! Never! Damn you. They could be like the wintertime compliment to my Sally Bowles shoes! Ack. Oh tax returns. The sweet havoc you wreak!

(As always, it was a pleasure chatting with you, miss.)

someone just posted those boots to the rhps costume group! i don't like 'em for mags boots, and thought they were a little expensive. and not to deter you from your dream boots, but here, take a look at this site... http://www.westernweddingboots.com/

(a variety of styles, colors, materials, and points of customization... and for cheaper... *drool*)

:)

Why wouldn't they make good mags boots? They're a hell of a lot nicer than the ones I've got.

I have been daydreaming at the western wedding boots site too...
What do you think of these?

knee high but so pretty! could I get away with these instead?
I wish they'd say more about the materials the heel is made of and how durable they are. The dance ones I know will withstand what I'll put them through. The lacy ones, not so sure.
Cheaper though. much cheaper.

I should have checked out your comments in the rhps group before asking the same questions. How odd, the post was from someone I met from the Madison cast, via a friend of mine who played Mag. Small world.

It's a toss up. I do want to be as accurate as possible but at the same time durable and pretty so I can wear it anytime.

are there any stores in Chicago that might have them in stock for me to try on? I'm really hesistant to buy shoes online without getting to see them.

ooh, those are nice. basically, it depends on how anal retentive/screen accurate you want to get. people won't really be seeing your shoes up close when you're performing, and half the time you'll be on the floor instead of the stage and they won't even see your feet. lots of mags have boots with laces, it's not a big deal. i just don't want you to spend 200 plus bucks on boots that aren't accurate, if you're looking for accurate, you know? i mean, i like the capezio boots, and i bet they'll be comfortable and last forever and a day, but if you're looking for screen accurate boots, those aren't it.

i'll look around for places you can try on victorian boots in person... not sure off the top of my head though.

oh, and you can get away with knee high if you want to... if you can't do mid-shin, i like knee high over short/ankle high any day of the week. we'll get all anal retentive and look at the dvd on sunday, i know all the best spots to look at her boots. :)
