First off, Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] missharley! I'm really looking forward to seeing you and Tim on Saturday. Hope the show goes well this weekend for you both! (I just spent some time trying to find info online about your show and neither google, centerstagechicago.com or the Wright College website have any info on it! How can I pimp your show with no info!?)

Ok then. I've been told from a couple people that I'm not updating enough. Well, not updating about being very happy or anything substantial, really. Bah.
I'll write when I wanna. :oP

a few things going on in my world:

- Heather was offered the full time Art Therapist position she wanted at Rogers Memorial Hospital. Now she's in the process of either getting a mortgage and buying a condo (to be lived in for about 2 years) or finding an apartment closer to Oconomowac. Probably going to happen December 1st. I'm glad she'll be cutting her 1 1/2 hour drive down a lot and saving money on gas. The selfish side of me is sad we're not going to be living in the same place anymore. At least she won't be too far away. At least I get to cat-sit when she goes on vacation in January.

- School is going ok I guess. We started dissecting poor little cats last week and I get to look forward to it for every Tuesday until the end of semester. So far I haven't yarfed. At least they don't use formeldehyde anymore. There's a different chemical used that doesn't burn your eyes and nose but still not pleasant. It seeps into my clothes and hair too. Yuck.
I came home to my kitty and played with him for a long time out of guilt. I hope he doesn't know what I've been up to.

- Tonight I WILL find my Clue costume (I hope!!). At least I know where to get a fake knife now and have a good idea what to look for. Last night I skimmed through the movie again to practice my line (HA!!) and work on how I'm going to fall. (My ass hurts now, thank you very much). Who's supposed to catch me? Aron? I'd like to run through it with that person before the show if possible. I'm not very good at falling on my side while being stiff as a board.
NOTE TO EMILY ([livejournal.com profile] tugena13): PLEASE BRING YOUR GONG TO THE SHOW! THANKS!!

- My behavioral modification project for Lifetime Wellness is in its 5th week. So far, no weight loss. boo. This week I'm trying working out before school in the morning. So far I like it. It's harder getting out of bed but I have more energy for it vs. after work at 6:30 when I'm tired, bitchy and hungry. I have noticed I'm less winded after doing something strenuous, like going up 3 flights of stairs to my office or with performing Rocky. So that's cool.

- countdowns: 9 days to Harry Potter, 13 days to Rent. :)

That's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well.
My keyboard at Parkside's computer lab is sticky again. What's up with that?
Note to self: wash hands again before eating lunch. I'd better go eat something before lab. Give my stomach a fighting chance to digest it before I toss my cookies from cutting up my poor kitty...

aw! kitties. :( i had a hard enough time dissecting a rat in high school... frog, fetal pig, sheep eyeball, crawfish, no problem. the second you give me something with fur, however, and i wig out.

YES! i will bring the gong. thanks for the reminder.

oh, and it's dave that's catching you. regarding the costume... have you noticed that thrift stores often have uniform sections for scrubs and the like? you might want to try there. or a white shirt under a grey shirt with a grey skirt? and a cast lab apron? worse comes to worst you can just wear your magenta dress buttoned up a bit more. :)

Yay, I'm glad you sound somewhat excited about cat-sitting at my to-be-determined place in January; I was happy to read that!

I also would like to say (write) that it was VERY entertaining watching you practice falling last night! Maybe you could do your practicing onto a bunch of pillows until you get your technique down?!

Oh, and I hope that you wash your hands thoroughly after your cat dissection lab and before petting the kitty at home......it's so oddly grotesque, that transition in a short period of time, you know? I would've freaked out if we had a kitty at home while I was doing my cat dissection in high school. *shudders uncontrollably* Remember that Pook and I named our cat Adam, after a certain low-life excuse for a boy we used to know? Actually, now that I think about it, the dissected cat's code name was Oliver, because Adam was so talented at twisting words around so that Pook and I were constantly mad at each other! Aargh.

Love you, schnookums!!

We started dissecting poor little cats last week
We did that in our AP BIO class in HS, it was optional. I opted noit to do it as the cat looked just like the one I had at the time.

What is there to fallin g over? just fall damn it. Then again this is me talking. At least we voted not to drop you or momelane on your face/head.

So far, no weight loss. boo.
what about body compsition?

I have noticed I'm less winded after doing something strenuous
so you are getting some benefit out of it all, plus don't you generally feel better afterwards?

man, I wish I had the option to not do the cat. It's a huge part of my grade, so not an option.

Falling is not easy! Try standing completely straight and fall on your side sometime. Not as easy as you'd think. :oP

I have no idea what my composition is. My clothes don't feel any looser and I refuse to go by those stupid BMI charts that go purely on height/weight. Not accurate. I'll get re-assessed at the end of the semester with calipers and all that fun stuff. that will be a better picture, I think.

yeah, I feel better afterwards. It's a good stress reliever.

thank you

I see that you're in my A&P class! Did you get a chubby kitty like our group did??

I don't think our cat is chubby but damn does he have a ton of connective tissue in the way.
Also, a broken leg. Very sad.
