Jun. 2nd, 2005 09:45 pmI broke down and got a new cell phone to replace the evil/possessed old Nokia I've been using...went through 2 different kinds of flip phones, and hated them more than the Damien phone. Ended up with a newer Nokia. The funny thing is my phone list got mostly erased in the transfer. Who did it erase? People that should have been erased a long time ago. ALL of them. It's creepy. Well, more like people in the 2nd half of the alphabet but STILL CREEPY that all my ex's ended up disappearing. My phone has moved on, so shall I. Now I need to chase down people I don't want to lose, like Liz K, Liz C, Steffen, Tim P, Paige...shit. This isn't as cool as I thought.
This week has been far too insane for a 4 day week. Seriously. Driving 2 hours today to and from Lake Geneva really cleared my head, though. That was nice. I've been feeling overwhelmed lately with everything and needed some time to breathe (and focus on not getting lost, which I didn't. Always takes me 3 times to figure out where I need to be, every time). I've narrowed down my focus a bit and will take it on one step at a time. I will try not to freak out and think about everything that could possibly happen in the next 4 years because it makes my head hurt.
If anyone needs some comfort, know that you didn't just spend the last 6 days trapped in your bathtub. That happened to a 61 year old in Kenosha. The paperboy figured it out with the stacking up of untouched newspapers and told a neighbor. She's at our hospital now. I was working with my last patient of the day and happened to glance out the window to see news vans from channel 4, 6 and 12. Crazy.
I can't even imagine what that must have been like for her.
Oh, and I LOVE the new rocky cast picture!!
That's all for now I suppose. I'm really looking forward to seeing Becky's performance on Saturday. It's going to be so cool to see my girl up there. Friday night I finally get to experience live band karaoke with Heather and her awesome art therapy classmates in Chicago. Should be pretty cool...
And then there's the Tony's on Sunday night...can't wait for that. So many good shows and presenters this year. Hope Sherie Renee wins. and maybe Norbert...
